Let's hear it for New York!

I love New York City with all my heart - the buildings, the opportunities, the feeling that everything is at your fingertips. Amazing modern skyscrapers, old buildings with the remnants of past ads. New businesses with bright new ideas. I'm going to start my blog rolling with pictures of my favorite places in the city.

I absolutely love walking through Union Square. The green market is one of the most enticing sights (and smells!) of the city. I love rolling through during the day for a quick snack or some dinner ingredients. You can get ingredients for a great, fresh dinner there, taste some great wines and just enjoy the atmosphere. I love taking pictures of the perfect vegetables. It's like they're just waiting for you!


Union Square becomes a different place at night. The buildings surrounding become the real eye candy :) The second picture is down 14th St. from Union Square. I love the typography there! Beautiful!



I live in Brooklyn, about a 30 minute ride from the fabulous Union Square. I love the peace and quiet of my neighboorhood. I couldn't be happier and neither could my cats! I couldn't resist including a photo of the fabulously-named nail salon near on of the local trains. Hello West-Gorgeous (cue best Barbara Streisand voice here)! Who comes up with these names? :-P
